The living legend of this century Mr. TAI CHIANG CHING founded and excelled this program through more than 2 decades of continuous research and development. At the age of 14 he mastered the conventional abacus and mental arithmetic using abacus based training. He started teaching the young children in Taiwan on part time basis at that age.
For thousands of years, the abacus has been widely used amongst scholars, doctors and philosophers in China to enhance the potential and intelligence of their minds. Of course abacus training has its own advantage in brain stimulation. Today there are many institutions in India providing this conventional abacus training. He was in constant search of the methods to improve the brain stimulation. During his early twenties he perfected the abacus bead movements in the form of 2 hands 4 finger method, which has a lot of advantage for balanced stimulation of both left and right brain comparing with the conventional abacus method. Since then he is teaching this unique method. With the inspiration given by his teaching on mental arithmetic, he started further researching about the various stages of human brain development and the function of neurons in our brain. It was his research finding that human brain has unlimited potential if stimulate it at the right age by right methods.
Comparing with other animals, humans are born extremely immature. As adorable as human babies may be they need years of development before they can skillfully negotiate their way. The brain is not a static hardwired piece of machinery as once was thought. It is dynamic creation that constantly shapes and reshapes itself. Neural connections lay down a foundation of sorts but in large measure the general connections, the basis of all brain activity are modeled by the things we encountered in the outside world. Like any other body part, the brain needed regular exercise or stimulation to maintain a strong bond between the neurons. He started studying about the methods to give a proper exercise or stimulation of brain. He understood that the brain stimulation can happen only by stimulating the basic senses of a human. Even though the abacus can stimulate the touch and feel sense of the human, he strongly believed that there must be some other methods to stimulate the other senses. Hence he extended his research activities and developed many other methods to stimulate the other senses like visual, and Audio. Today the CMA training program consists of only 25% of abacus and the remaining 75% are the scientifically developed method through multimedia and online.
Today, the art of abacus mental arithmetic has been perfected by Master Tai after more than 23 years of intensive Research and Development. Master Tai contributes every effort to study the theories of them and development of new techniques. In 1992, Master Tai broke the traditional method of teaching calculations with abacus and mental arithmetic. To enhance learners' interests and learning results, Master Tai introduced a new technique which makes use of both hands to stir the abacus beads.
